BEST is the ideal color management RIP for all Epson printers, especially the Epson 3000, Epson 5000, Epson 7000, Epson 9000. BEST was the only one of two RIPs at DRUPA which was capable of obtaining acceptable color from the new (and still unfinished) Epson 7500 and Epson 9500 prototypes.

Here are some images from the FLAAR Photo Archive printed with BEST color management software RIP at the BEST booth at DRUPA.

Between now and Seybold San Francisco 2000, and between then and Photokina trade show, we will be posting the results of our initial survey of BEST software and how it compares with the ever growing host of large format RIPs from other companies. We will even do the comparison auf Deutsch. The English reviews will be on www.wide-format-printers.org, other reviews on www.large-format-printers.org, and additional discussion of BEST color management RIP software will be on www.FineArtGicleePrinters.org. But we are in the middle of several large projects so are a bit slow in getting these results into our growing network.

Although the reviews will provide more details, what we can say so far is "buy BEST," and be sure also to sign up for their color management training programs. Krefeld is a nice part of Germany to have peace and quiet so you can study and really learn color management once and for all.

BEST color management training programs will shortly be offered in the USA as well. For information about BEST projects and programs in the USA contact Richard Dannenberg, rd@bestcolor.com.
